Privacy Policy

Overview

IndusHive is built by a student, for students — and that shapes how privacy works here too. This policy explains, in plain language, what information IndusHive collects, why, and what control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@indushive.in and I'll explain it directly.

Data we collect

• Account info: name, email address, and authentication details when you sign up with Google or email + password.
• Study profile: class, board and academic aim, collected during onboarding, used to personalize your dashboard.
• Content you provide: questions you ask, photos/PDFs of notes you upload, and materials added to Materials Hub.
• Usage data: which tools you open and how often, used only to improve recommendations and fix bugs.

How we use it

Your data is used to run the tools you ask for (e.g. generating a summary from your notes), personalize your dashboard, and understand which tools are actually helping so I can prioritize what to build next. It is never sold to advertisers or data brokers.

Your notes & materials

Anything you upload to Study Deck or Materials Hub — notes, questions, photos of your notebook — is stored to make that tool work for you (e.g. so Materials Hub can search your syllabus later). You can delete uploaded materials at any time from within the tool, and can request full account deletion by emailing hello@indushive.in.

Third-party services

IndusHive uses a small number of trusted infrastructure providers to operate — an authentication provider (for Google/email sign-in), a hosting provider, and an AI model provider that powers explanations and simulations. These providers process data only to deliver the service and are bound by their own data-processing agreements.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your profile data at any time from the Profile page, or by emailing hello@indushive.in. You can also ask what data is stored about you and request a copy of it.

Student & minor privacy

IndusHive is built primarily for students aged roughly 11–18. If you're using this with a school or under a parent/guardian's supervision, they're welcome to contact hello@indushive.in with any questions about what's collected and why.
